Privacy policy

Data we collect

The app doesn't ask for or collect your name, email, phone number, location or any other personal information. It uses no advertising, analytics or tracking tools.

What's stored on your device

Information you create while using the app is stored only on your device:

• Your favorite recipes and the recipes you've chosen not to see again
• The meal history you log with "I ate this" and in cooking mode
• Your shopping list and the ingredients you pick in fridge mode
• Your settings, such as theme, language and reminders

None of this is sent to a server or shared with third parties.

Internet use

Recipes, fonts and images are bundled with the app. It doesn't need the internet to work and doesn't request internet permission.

Permissions

• Notifications: for the daily reminder and the cooking timer. You're asked the first time you use these features.
• Alarms and reminders: so the timer rings exactly when it's done.
• Keep screen on: so the screen doesn't turn off in cooking mode.
• Vibration: for light haptics while the wheel spins and when a timer ends.

Notifications are created locally on your device. You can turn them all off in your phone's settings.

Sharing reports

When you download your report as a PDF, the file is created on your device and your phone's share menu opens. Only you decide where the file goes.

Children's privacy

The app doesn't collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app removes all of its data from your device. You can delete individual history entries in the Reports tab and items on the shopping list screen.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page and the date at the top will be updated.
